Amanda “Mandy” K. Leaf, 43, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 6, 2020.
She was born on August 6, 1976 in Anderson, to Larry and Martha (Livingston) Leaf. Mandy graduated from Anderson High School in 1994 and from Ball State University with a degree in photojournalism in May 2002. Putting her photojournalism degree to work, she managed several photography studios. Later she worked as a manager for Big Red Liquors. Mandy was a bright bubbly happy-go-lucky child who loved all people and animals. Throughout her life, personal tragedies and the injustices of the world took a toll on her compassionate nature. She continued to wander looking for goodness and her place in the world. She started struggling with many health issues in 2019 and succumbed to an asthma attack.
Mandy is survived by her loving father, Larry J. Leaf; sister, Tricia (John) Leaf-Prince of Durham, NC; and nephews, Nathaniel Croft and Gabriel Prince. Also surviving is her uncle and aunt, Ron and Nancy Leaf.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and brother, John Patrick Leaf.
