Amanda Dawn Smith, age 45, entered the waiting arms of her savior Jesus. Amanda passed away on May 31, 2018 at her home in Flagstaff, Arizona after a 22 year battle with cancer. Amanda “Mandy” was born in Flagstaff in 1973, she married her husband, Jay, in 1994 and they moved to Tennessee in 1996, living there for 19 years before moving back to her beloved Flagstaff. Mandy worked Human Resources for Golden Circle Ford in Jackson, TN until moving back to AZ.

Mandy was a beautiful soul and while she was a self-proclaimed introvert, her smile and encouraging words always made people happy and her laugh will be greatly missed. Her friendships were deep, meaningful and lifelong. Mandy loved her “tribe” fiercely and was forever grateful for all they did for her during her life. She enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking and camping with her husband and two fur babies. She loved to study the bible, make jewelry, read books and decorate her home and sharing her story and faith on her blog feathersandblessings.blogspot.com. Her favorite saying was “With Brave Wings She Flies!”

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Herbert & Hazel Durr and her father-in-love Dale Smith. Amanda is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 24 years, Jay Smith, her father Kenneth (Charla) Durr, mother Judith (Roger) Kull, grandparents John & Ann Elms, brother Clayton (Arika) Durr, sisters Crystal (Gary) Marek, April (Wood) Norvell, mother-in-love Lois Smith, sister-in-love Lisa (Virgil) Amos, six nieces, Viven Cantrell, Taylor Williams, Emma & Sophie Norvell, Ava Marek and Somer King and 5 nephews Bailey King, Dylan Williams, Wyatt, Walker & Eli Norvell and Wesley Amos and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
