Durham- Amanda Christy Barton Brogden, 61, of Granville Co. died on Friday, February 21, 2014. She was the daughter of Marvin Barton and Jane Stewart Barton. She worked for Duke University Eye Center as a Contact Lens Technician for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of forty five years Richard Earl Brogden, two sons, Buddy Blanchard and wife Tina of Durham and Demetrius Brogden of Tampa FL; three daughters, Lisa Hollar of Graham, Cindy Brogden of Burlington; and Janie Moore and husband Donald of Mebane; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She will be loved and missed dearly.
