Amalia Loser Amalia (Koenig) Loser, 77, of Danbury, wife of Alois Loser, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Loser was born in Austria, January 25, 1936, a daughter of Yosef and Rosa Koenig. She emigrated to the United States in 1952, first settling in Ridgewood, New York, later moving to South Jersey and relocating to Danbury in 1983. A resident of Danbury for the past thirty years, Mrs. Loser was a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish. A gardener and baker, Mrs. Loser enjoyed walking and walked at the Danbury Mall every day as well as doing crossword puzzles. Devoted to her family, one of her greatest joys was the time spent with her grandchildren. Amalia and Alois were married in 1957. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Loser is survived by a son, Gerhard (Katheryn) Loser of Stokesdale, NC; two daughters, Liz (Josh) Burrows of Prarie Grove, IL and Lorrie (Chris) Schneider of Hillsdale, NJ; a brother, Walter (Ellie) Koenig of Levittown, L.I., NY; two sisters, Alma Marven of Sarasota, FL and Zita Seunig of Austria; nine grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew and Connor Loser, Amanda, Josh and Courtney Burrows and Nicole, Kyle and Jennifer Schneider and several nieces and nephews.
