Niki graduated from UNM on November 7, 2016 and earned a bachelor degree from the Family Studies Department. This was one of her life goals and aspirations. Niki wanted to work with children and was able to work at St. John’s Preschool and the Albuquerque Children’s Christian home.
Niki is survived by her parents, David and Susie Romero; brothers, Elijah Romero and Armando and wife, Deanne Romero; sister, Andrea Romero; nephews, Rayne Romero and Niko and KyMani Grace; niece, Autumn Rose Romero; grandmothers, Jane Romero and Rose Duran; and her little dog, Romeo.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lorenzo Romero and Matias (Henry) Duran.
Niki loved life. She loved all of life. She loved sports, she loved to dance, and she loved to be silly. She loved her friends, her family, and especially her Savior, Jesus. She loved him for redeeming her, for saving her, for rescuing her from sin. She loved him for forgiving her so much. That is why Niki loved so much because she knew the love of Christ. He was sharing His love through her.
