Alycia Anne Gryn, 35 of Stuart, Florida and formerly of Slippery Rock, PA passed away in Stuart on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
She was born in Franklin, PA on September 21, 1985.
She struggled with sobriety but found special support and encouragement through attending 12 step programs and from the friends she developed there. Her work as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation tech at Banyan Treatment Center, in Stuart, FL was very important to her. She loved all genres of music; was politically active and socially aware. Alycia loved animals.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Dee (Bill) Skalski of Ellwood City, PA; father, Charles (Susan) Gryn of Volant; siblings, Matthew (Catherine Meyers) Gryn of North Huntingdon, PA; Michele (Anthony Sapenzia) Gryn of Harmony, PA; Patrick (Nicole) Gryn of Baden, PA; and step-sisters, Catherine (Kalen) Drennen of Grove City; and Erin Sankey of New Castle.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mary and Henry Gryn, and maternal grandmother, Dolores M. Vetal.
