Alyce Harte, 93, of Somonauk, formerly of Ottawa, died on Sunday morning, December 25, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. Mrs. Harte was born on February 5, 1923 in Ottawa to Ray and Jessie (Gaughan) Parks. She was a graduate of St. Xavier’s Academy in Ottawa. Alyce married Edward J. Harte on June 23, 1942 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa. He died on December 23, 2003.
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk.She is survived by a daughter, Julie (Jim) Harte Fischer, of Sandwich, a son, Edward J. (Renita) Harte, Jr., of Rushville, IL, 3 grandsons, Michael, Scott, and Kevin Harte, 5 great grandchildren, Jessie, Jake, Jenna, Jamie and Lauren Harte, and a sister Rita (Ken) Beardsley, of West Chicago.She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, Evelyn Dougherty, Marian Tuleck, and Jessie Haws, and 3 brothers, Thomas, James, and Ray Parks.
