Bro. Alwin Wallace was born February 8, 1953 to the late Deacon Curvin and Sister Mae Hollen Wallace. Alwin, lovingly known to all as “Al,” accepted Christ at a young age and joined Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Lisman, AL.
Al was educated in the Choctaw County, AL public school system, graduated in 1972, and then furthered his education by attending a trade school in Clarke County, AL, receiving a degree in Cabinetry and Brick Masonry. After moving to Florida, he established himself as a hard working business owner. His motto, “no job was complete until it was Done Right.”
Bro. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Curvin and Mae Hollen Wallace; one son, Shawn Henderson; two brothers, Jimmy and Leon Wallace; three sisters, Juanita Crawford, Barbara Flack and Bonnie Wallace.
He also leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Beatrice “Tiny” Wallace; three sons, Steve (Jennifer) Wallace, Terrance (Domonique) Wallace and Alex Wallace, all of Vero Beach, Florida; two brothers, Brooks (Lucy) Wallace of Louin, Mississippi; Felton Wallace of Lisman, Alabama; one sister, Geneva (Arthur) Holt, Linden, Alabama; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
