Alvino (Bino) Duran, 71, entered eternal peace on May 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Carrizozo, New Mexico on December 7, 1946 to Johnny and Virginia Gallegos Duran. Alvino was a graduate of Tularosa High School and served in the New Mexico National Guard and US Army. He then later fulfilled a career as a carpenter/builder.

Alvino was survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine Duran of Tularosa, New Mexico and two daughters Latiza Montoya and her husband Sam of La Luz, New Mexico. Michelle Martinez and her husband Antonio of Ruidoso, New Mexico. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren (Monique Montoya Holly, Alex Ray Duran, Rumaldo Duran, and Marissa Duran) and 5 great grandchildren (Aubryanna Holly, Bryson Holly, Adrian Duran, Khaleb Duran and a great granddaughter of whom he was eager to meet).

Survivors also include his brothers, John Duran and wife Blanca of Baldwin Park, California. Ronnie Duran and wife Evelyn of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Sisters include Gloria Siefert and husband Mike of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Mary Lou Alva of Tularosa, New Mexico.

Alvino is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Freddie Duran, and his granddaughter Adriana Montoya.

He will always be remembered by his friends and family as a strong hardworking man. Known to always be entertaining, caring, and always lending a hand to those who needed him. His memory will be carried on through all the wonderful stories, and creative work and structures he has built through his lifetime. He had a love for nature, camping trips, hunting, and music.
