Alvina E. Pontious, 90 of Centralia, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Odin Healthcare Center in Odin. She was born September 21, 1921, in Centralia, the daughter of Knute Ring and Bertha (Marshall) Huff.
She is survived by 3 sons: John “Sonny” Peak and wife Joni, Terry Peak and wife Loretta, and Brad Maddox and wife Patti; 4 daughters: Phyllis Corcoran, Linda Winkler, Helen Maddox, and Kay Williams; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Maddox; she has blessed with 40 grandchildren: 75 great-grandchildren: 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Sandra Timmons, and two sons: Richard Peak and James Maddox. Alvina was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Centralia.
