Alvin Scott Myers, 45 of Fellowsville, WV passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on May 5, 1969 in Parsons, son of the late Richard and Shirley Pratt Phillips. He was adopted and raised by Linda Myers of Evansville and Jim Myers of Hazelton. He graduated from Central Preston High School in Class of 1987. Scott had worked as a pilot truck driver for Equipment Transport. He loved farming, hunting, fishing, camping where he was a wonderful cook. Scott enjoyed going to livestock sales and always helping anyone who needed it. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Rita Sue Adams Myers, three children, Matthew Scott Myers, Felicia Marie Myers both of Fellowsville, Lucreatia Nicoal Adams of Newburg; seven brothers and sisters, Ricky White and Wanita, Parsons, Janet Bucklew and Raymond, Keyser, Helen Marie Rhodes, Parsons, Ronald White, Franklin, WV, Timothy Hartpence, TX, John Myers, Evansville, Amanda Jackson and Jeremy, Morgantown; father-in-law, Clarence “June” Adams Jr.; three sister-in-laws, Cheryl A Adams, Independence, Joyce M Adams, Loretta L Adams and companion Charlie Maxwell, Newburg; one brother-in-law, David J Adams and wife Beverly, Newburg, and numerous uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Helen Marie Adams.
