Alvin Russell “Russ” Creviston 80
of West Mansfield
Russ passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville. He was born on November 20, 1942 in Byhalia to the late Alvin and Betty Eloise (Skidmore) Creviston. He married Jeraldine Gray and they later divorced. On March 24, 1995 he married Linda Dendinger and she survives in West Mansfield.
Also surviving are his sons; Al (Gretchen) Creviston of Cable, Rod Creviston of West Mansfield, Mitchell Creviston of West Mansfield, daughters; Misty Ramirez of Mt. Victory, Holly Williams of Marion, Ashley Bill of Marion, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; Deon Creviston, a brother; Roger Creviston and a daughter-in-law; Beth Creviston.
Russ was a 1960 graduate of Byhalia York High School. He was a farmer and owner/operator of Triple R Excavating. Russ also helped take care of many of the local cemeteries by digging graves and mowing.
Russ was always a hard worker and loved to do so. If he wasn’t mowing or digging , Russ enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball in his younger years.
