Alvin Reynolds Bussell, age 75, of Hillsboro Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
Born August 26, 1935, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George and Oma Pearl Vance Bussell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Clarene Margaret Brooks, and three brothers, Gano -Buck- Terrell Bussell, Claude -Fuzzy- Hones Bussell, and Ollie Jay Bussell.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Edna Dale Bussell, whom he married November 19, 1960; one daughter, Denise Hawkins and husband Jamie of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one son, Dennis Bussell of Hillsboro, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Joshua Scott Hawkins, Kayla Raye Hawkins, Ethan Lane Hawkins, and Madison Taylor Hawkins; and one great grandson, Kevin Tyler Raye Lee.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Belle Hardin and Lola B. Davis, and one brother, Vernon Lee Bussell, all of Nicholas County, Kentucky.
Alvin was a former carpenter for the W. Rogers Construction Company in Lexington and a farmer.
