Alvin R. Davies, 44, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born Nov. 8, 1963 in Chicago, the son of Warren and Johanna Peek Davies.
He is survived by four sons and two daughters; six brothers and six sisters; a foster mother, Ruth Hennick of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one stepbrother, Paul.
Mr. Davies was a factory worker and served in the U.S. military.
