Alvin Neil Downham, 83, of Anderson, passed away on November 29, 2014 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
He was born on February 19, 1931 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and resided most of his life in Anderson. Alvin graduated from Anderson High School, and served his country in the Army. He is a retired Production/utility man for Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He was a member of Markleville Masonic Lodge.
He was a licensed plumber, and auctioneer in this area for many years. He enjoyed raising, and riding horses, traveling in his RV, and spending time with his family.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife, Donna Juanita Downham; children, Kenny (Donna) Downham, Jimmy (Linda) Bowers, Sarah (Fred) Sears, Billy Bowers, Kim (Joe) Morehead, Kristal (Jimmy) Mitchell and Lisa (Andy) Rolinson; grandchildren, Shane (Heather) Downham, Kenny Lee (Tiffany) Downham, Amanda (Shaun) Summers, Aundria Mitchell, Ally Mitchell, Ian Rolinson, Sarah Rolinson and Keagan Rolinson; great-grandchildren, Shelby Lynn Summers and Aaliyah Taylor Meyer; siblings, Willard, Bob(Kim), Lois, Mary, Evelyn and Helen (Alan),Cleda; and several more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bryan Walter Downham; mother, Vera Rose Downham; first wife, Reba Jane Downham; brothers, Bill Downham and Joe Downham; and sister, Joyce Wools.
