Alvin Lorenzo Johnson, Sr., age 62, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on February 25, 2012. Mr. Johnson was a member of Redeeming Grace Full Gospel Church (6821 Oak Street). He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Birmingham Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Claughton – Smith, father, Robert Perkins, step-father, Columbus Claughton, and brothers, Lewis Claughton and Reginald Claughton. Survivors: a loving wife, Beverley Johnson; sons, Kevin Owens (Hampton, VA), Alvin L. Johnson, Jr. (Quantico VA), Aric Johnson (Birmingham, AL); sister, Brenda Rogers – Howard; brothers, Rory (Josephine) Claughton, Kevin (M. Lynne) Claghton – Smith; grandchildren, Jermaine, Justan, Amaya, Devin; a host of family and friends.
