The son of the late Franklin P. and Linnie E. Thompson Gorley, Alvin was born August 3, 1930 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and passed away on March 13, 2021 in Healdton, Oklahoma.
He and the former Marietta James were married May 31, 1950 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and she preceded him in death March 9, 2006. He was also preceded in death by a brother, infant son and great grandson.
Alvin had been a resident of Southern Oklahoma, living in Ardmore, Madill and Lebanon since 1974. He was a welder by trade at Murphy’s Machine Shop in Ardmore, and Dagwell Dixie in Oklahoma City. He loved God, his family, hunting and fishing, buying, selling and working on cars. He was attending River of Life Church in Wilson, Oklahoma.
Serving as bearers will be Christian Skaggs, Joey Skaggs, Taylor, Alex and Cody Hill and Michael Deshon.
