Alvin was born September 7, 1934, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to the late Louis William and Hazel LaJoy Rattan Hardison.  He went to be with is Lord and Savior on September 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family.

Alvin served in the United State Army and was honorably discharged in December 1958.  He received the Good Conduct Medal.

He and the former Norma Jean Lane were married February 14, 1957.

Alvin served the city of Ardmore as a firefighter.  After retiring, he worked for Murphy Machine.  He was an active member of Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church and worked with the Loaves and Fishes organization for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Norma of the home, daughters, Vicki Otey and Kenna Strickland; sister, Goldie Phipps and granddaughters, Elisha Nelson, Renee Dougherty and Leslie Walters.  He was preceded in death by his brother Orin and his sister Dorothy Boyer.
