Alvin E. McKee, 86, of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Wayne County, Missouri, on February 26, 1921, to Elmer A. and Roxie Z. (Hale) McKee. On October 11, 1946, he married Clara Belle Williams.
Alvin was a veteran of the US Army who served during WWII. After serving his country he became a coal miner and worked for Peabody Coal Company for more than 40 years. He had retired in 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Belle McKee, a sister, Barbara Faye Albright of Terre Haute, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
