Alvin Christen Thedy, retired insurance salesman and WWII US Army Veteran, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home in Meraux. He was 98. He was born in New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard since 1956. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Jorden, his son Jerome R. Thedy, and the late Allen Thedy; also 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He served in the occupation force in Japan after that nation’s surrender in WWII. He spent most of his career working for Schoen Life Insurance.
