Alvera C. Cederoth, formerly of Carlyle, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Bradford Place in Swansea at the age of 94 years.
Alvera was born in Chicago on July 5, 1916, the daughter of Magnus and Helen Arnold. She married Dwight ‘Whitey’ Cederoth on March 21, 1936 in Chicago, and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1995. Also preceding her in death where two sons: John Cederoth and James Cederoth; and two grandsons: Nathan Kamen and Billy Cederoth.
Alvera is survived by four daughters: Barbara Luciani and husband Rudy, Ruth Kamen, Carol Bodnarchuk and husband Terry all of Chicago, and Linda Wagener and husband Robert of Swansea; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Alvera was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carlyle and had volunteered with Reading Link. While her age registered 94, she always had a youthful attitude. While in her eighties, she took a computer class to keep pace with emailing family and friends.
