Born Alvena B. Kelly daughter of Alvena B (Haynes) Kelly and Francis E Kelly in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia on Dec 8th, 1927, the next to youngest with four sisters; Martha, Emma, Mary and Kay and two brothers; Edward and Frank. She emigrated to the US with her family after graduating from high school in Canada. She met Pasquale (Pat) Arrigo in Cambridge in 1947 and they married in August 1950; the beginning of a beautiful 68-year marriage. A proud Canadian she also became a US citizen in 2005.
