Alva Junior Ash, 61, of Ashley Community, passed away unexpectedly at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness with family by his side. He was born at Sedalia, WV on October 15, 1950, the son of the late Alva P Ash and Faye Walker Robinson
Mr. Ash was preceded in death by a son Richard Lewis Ash in July 2011, five brothers, Rev. James A. Robinson, Lawrence Ash, Robert Ash, Jack Ash, and Frank Robinson; three sisters, Ruth Ware, Doris Stowers, and Genevieve Booher.
Surviving is a daughter, Regina Faye Haught and husband Danny of Tyler County; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Crystal, Megan, Nathaniel, Tabby, Jake and Dalton; great-grandaughter, Alexis. Also surviving are two brothers, Roger Ash and wife Connie of Kentucky, Doug Ash and wife June of Salem; three sisters and husbands, Barbara and Gary Swiger of CenterPoint, Shirley and Leslie Anderson of Tyler County, and Ruby Ash of West Union; several nieces and nephews.
Alva ran the debarker in the timber industry with Glaspell Lumber for over thirty years. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
