Alta A. Linnenburger, 70, passed away on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 1:57 p.m. at her apartment in Westminster Village. Alta was born August 27, 1944 in Bowen, IL to Edwin and Irean (Myers) Linnenburger.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Hashbarger (Jill his wife) of Homer, IL, and their three granddaughters, Cora, Grace, and Gabrielle Hashbarger, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Willis Linnenburger of West Point, IL.
Alta graduated from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Il with a degree in psychology and later attended St. Mary of the Woods College receiving a paralegal degree. She worked in various places during her life, and retired from the Trust Department of First Financial Bank in Terre Haute, IN. She really enjoyed attending ISU women’s basketball games and had season tickets for several years. She was a long time member of St.
