Mr. Alphonzo Johnson, 67, of 608 Woodridge Ln., died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital.
Alphonzo was born on November 17, 1943 to the late Henry Johnson, Sr. and Adilene McKeever Johnson in Darlington, S.C. He was a graduate of Mayo High School and relocated to High Point in the early sixties. He was formerly employed with Thomasville Furniture Company as an inspector.
Additionally to his parents, his wife Ernestine Thompson Johnson, two brothers, Russell and Henry Johnson, and one sister, Thomasina Williams preceded him in death.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Dietress McNair of the home, and Mia Blue of Orlando, FL; two sons, Mark (Lurecha) McNair and Carlos McNair all of High Point;; eight grandchildren, Quadarius, Cameryn, Cardea, Courtney, Jamarqus, Ieasha, Marquilla, and Careisha; five great grandchildren, one brother, William Johnson of Darlington, SC; one sister Marcella Parrott of Darlington, SC; special friend, Sarah Jones of High Point; of host of other relatives and friends.
