Aloysius V. Jeske“Dubby” “Al”Bay City, Michigan
Mr. Jeske passed away early Wednesday morning February 18, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 96 years. The son of the late Alex and Agnes (Staszak) Jeske was born June 1, 1918 in Kawkawlin, Michigan. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish – Holy Trinity Campus, League of Catholic Women and Men, the Carpenters Local 706 in Saginaw, MI, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #414 for forty-nine years. Al was retired as a carpenter, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing cards, was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the 852nd Engineers, Army of the United States during WW II. He is survived by his loving daughter, Connie Deford of Bay City; two grandchildren and their spouses, Brigette and Charles Laier of Lansing, MI and Keane and Michelle Blaszczynski of Gowen, MI; four great grandchildren, Angela and Jonathon Laier and Austin and Alyse Blaszczynski; two sisters, Evelyn Shelagowski of Traverse City and Dorothy Satkowiak of Kawkawlin; two sisters-in-law, Angeline Sylvester and Gloria Sylvester both of Bay City; a special niece, Joyce Pomaville of Grand Ledge; and many other nieces and nephews. On June 28, 1941 he married his wife of fifty-four years the former Isabel Sylvester and she preceded him in death on January 29, 1995. Mr. Jeske was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jarczynski and six brothers, Steven, Stanley, John, Peter, Chester, and Bernard Jeske.
