Our dear Sweetheart, Mother, and Grammy, Alona Taylor Hill returned home to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven on Thursday May 5, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Alona was born on September 15, 1948 to Allen E. Taylor and Nona Brown Taylor. She enjoyed her life growing up on her father’s farm. She loved to share her memories of milking cows and riding her horse Flicka.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings, but her favorite was serving in the primary and singing primary songs. She loved her calling as a visiting and ministering teacher. Alona had a strong faith in our Savior Jesus Christ and taught her children to always put Him first.
She married her eternal sweetheart Robert Lowell Hill in the Logan Temple on July 14, 1967. Together they raised four loving children, Scott (Vanessa) Hill of Kaysville, Chad (Alisa) Hill of Plain City, Nate (Cindi) Hill of Plain City, and Robynn (Rex) Spencer of Kaysville.
Some of her greatest blessings called her Grammy. She left behind 21 beautiful grandchildren: Alexxis, Austin, Spencer, Tristin, Kaysee, Milena, Brytinn, Lucas, Nataliya, Taylor, Callee, Jaxon, MyLeigh, Jordan, MadaLynn, Carter, Addison, Logan, Tyler, Preston, and Crosby. And two sweet little great granddaughters: Paisley Alona and Harper.
She is survived by her husband; children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother Ron (Kathy) Taylor, sister Jan (Keith) Brady, sisters Kristi Meacham, Kay Peterson, and brother Brent (Grace) Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Juldean, brothers Klee and Kirby and her in-laws, Lowell and Gayle Hill.
