Aloma Elnora Ritter Thompson was born on December 10, 1955, in Moore County N.C. to the Late Rufus and Thelma Ritter and transitioned to eternal rest on July 13, 2022.
Aloma was a faithful member of Bellview AME Zion Church where she was a member of church choir and minister of music, Yam’s organizer, Missionary, Assistant secretary for the Ministry of Kindness; Lay council member, Stewardess board member, Christian education board; Vice president of women’s ministry and deaconess board.
Aloma graduated high school June 6, 1975, later moved to Harrisburg PA where she graduated from the academy of medial arts in 1989 continued her education and became a CNA in May 2010. She worked as a medical assistant with Dr James Miller in Harrisburg PA she also worked at Tara plantation in Carthage N.C. and with gentle touch homecare in Carthage N.C. until her health failed in October of 2018.
Aloma married Juan Thompson (Buster) on November 6, 2010, he passed away August 1, 2016.
To cherish her precious memory her daughter Marlena Brown, Kia Johnson and Brittany Walters and also God daughter Ashley Giles. Grandchildren Kymar Brown, Lunden Brown, Terrance Collins, Israel Jones; Iralynn Jones; Ahmad Jones, Maury Jones and Preston Walter.
Her sister Linda McLaughlin of Robbins N.C. Her brothers Rufus Ritter Jr. (Cartha) of Carthage N.C. Dwight Ritter (Angela) of Robbins N.C. and Gregory Ritter (Wanda) of Southern Pines. A Host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Aloma was preceded in death by John Waylan Ritter, Cynthia Nell McLaughlin, Emma Lorraine Ritter and Allen Ray Ritter, Niece Angrial McLaughlin and Nephew Terrell McLaughlin.
