Mr. Hervey died Monday, May 16, 2016 at a Belton nursing home. He was born September 26, 1935 in Jonesboro, Ark, the son of A.C. Hervey, Sr. and Emma (Kiefer) Hervey.
He married Patsy Matthews on January 21, 1955 in Trumann, Ark. He moved to Belton in 1968 and was a former registrar at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and retired director of admissions at Temple College. He spent ten years in the United States Air Force and retired from the National Guard in 2006 and was a life member of the National Guard Associations of Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton since 1968.
Survivors include his wife of sixty one years; two daughters Kathy Groover and husband Larry of Chappell Hill, TX and Sherri Roese of Brenham, TX; a brother, Bob Hervey of Harrisburg, Ark; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
