Alma McCarty, 96, of Crawfordsville died Tuesday at 11:55p.m. at Ben Hur Nursing Home. She was retired from R.R. Donnelley, where she was the first female supervisor and a board member for the Donnelley Club.
She was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Hugh and L. Ella Ball Mc Carty. She graduated from Wayne town High School. She was a member of the Wayne town Christian Church. Survivors include the families of Claude Thompson and Jim Capehart and two nephews, Jim and Ted Stark of Toledo, Ohio.
