Alma Jean “Cookie” (Little) Hayes, 56 of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016.She was born August 8, 1959 in Memphis, TN, daughter of Robert Paige and Maggie Lee (Jones) Little. She is survived by a brother, Tenaucah Little of Marion; four sisters: Genet Purchase and husband Charles of Belleville, Patricia Little of Swansea, Sharon Little of Centralia, and Melony Cornelius and husband John of Cairo; special friend, Vernell Burris, Sr. of Centralia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clyde Little.Cookie graduated in 1977 from Meridian High School in Mounds, Illinois. She was a member of the New Convenant Ministries in Centralia. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and was always the life of the party. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
