Alma Christine Helton Peek age 86, a lifelong resident of Newnan & Sargent passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She was born on Sept. 17, 1924 in Carroll County, GA to the late Roy Jefferson Hinesley and Mary Lillian Clark Hinesley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Rainey, husbands; Paul T. Joseph, who was killed in WWII, J.H. “Red” Helton and Frank Peek. Mrs. Peek was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was retired from International Playtex and enjoyed gardening and cooking for others. She is survived by a daughter, Paulette Bogs, a son, Jim Helton and a sister, Bessie Omagene Hardegree. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
