Al Loeffler passed away Monday December 5, 2022 at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 54.
Allen Loeffler, known as Big Al to his friends, was born on October 11, 1968. He was a perfect baby. When Al was 4 years old, his Dad, Bruce was deployed to Thailand during the Viet Nam War. When Bruce returned home, we had to move around quite a bit. Poor Al lived in 14 different homes by the time he was 6 years old. He played Little League as 1st base for many years.
Big Al was 16 when he got his first job at Perkins. After that he worked as a bartender at the Lincoln Del in Bloomington and several northside bars. He was a bartender all his life. He always said that he was the Number Two bartender in the area and all other bartenders were Number One.
Of course, his family desperately misses Al and we know you do, too. Al was kind and considerate to everyone. He would give you his last dollar. He made friends everywhere he went.
A huge thank you to his caretakers, Brad Larson and Holly DeVogt. Rest in Peace dear Al.
All is survived by his mother Christine Kenealy of Florida; sister Jean Loeffler of Tampa, Florida; nephews Mason, Stuart and Spencer Alt; great-nephew Quest Alt; many other relatives and friends
Al was preceded in death by his father Bruce Loeffler.
