Allen “Dean” Chapman Jr. 1932 – 2008
Allen Dean Chapman Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dean was born on May 25, 1932 in Sylacauga, AL. He worked a career in the construction industry where he became a superintendent by the age of 30 and in 1971 moved to Ft. Walton Beach, FL and eventually started his own construction company, Chapree, Inc.
His parents, Allen and Ruby Chapman, preceded Dean in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Margaret; sister Joy Graham; brother Marvin Chapman; daughter Jackie and husband Steve Mead; son Allen and wife Jackie Chapman; daughter Jamie and husband Christian Bueno; grandchildren, Dallas, Deana, Katie, Hannah, Dylan, Max. He will be greatly missed by all.
Dean had a passion for fixing things and was often called upon by others to lend a helping hand. His kind, giving nature was apparent to everyone he met.
The family would like to thank the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Cancer Care Center and its staff for taking great care of Dad.
