Allen Dale Metheny 74, of Flat Rock, NC and formerly of Bruceton Mills (Glade Farm) past away Saturday November 9, 2013 in his home surrounded by family. He was born December 8, 1938 in Kingwood a son of the late Carl and Emma (Teets) Metheny. Allen Dale had a variety of occupations throughout his life; he was a man of many great skills. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jackie S. Metheny; son James Allen Metheny and wife Ruth of NC; daughter Cindi McNiff and husband Philip of FL; stepsons Chris and Kevin Harper of FL; three brothers and wives, Edward and Ruth Metheny, Carlton and Caroline Metheny, all of Reedsville, and Francis Metheny of Kingwood; one sister Betty Walls of Reedsville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Jonathan Metheny; five brothers Bob, Gail, Richard, Ralph, and John; and five sisters Hilda, Edna, Evelyn, Mary, and Grace.
