Allen Curtis Carver passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home in St. Joseph, Michigan on May 28, 2016. He was just 59 years old.
Born April 6, 1957 in Ogden, Utah, he was the son of Murray and Donna Carver. He was raised in the Ogden area and attended Roy High School. He had a son, Adam Carver, and later added two stepsons, Roger and Josh, and another son, Ian. Life moved on and again single, he was working in Chicago when he met his life’s love and partner Patti McCauley. With Patti’s blessing he became like a father to her daughters, Emily and Gillian.
His talents lay in building and he became an expert woodworker and carpenter. Anything he put his hand to had to be done perfectly. He created and built only the best.
He loved the outdoors, going on many backpacking trips with his brothers, and was a skilled and intrepid skier. He was full of life, a bit unconventional and like his father, a good-natured tease.
