Allen was born in Muncie on June 25, 1957, the son of Kenneth H. and Jane Evelyn (Whitehead) Cox, and attended Wes-Del High School.
Survivors include three brothers, Oscar Cox, (girlfriend-Linda Spurlock), Leonard Cox, (wife-Diane), and Phillip Cox, (friend-Linda), all of Muncie; a sister, Lona Crose, Muncie; special friends, Jim and Brenda Hunter, Muncie; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
