Born third son to Addie “Bea” Webb and Henry McDaniel. He entered his earthly journey on February 12, 1945 and transitioned into eternity on January 27, 2017. He accepted the Baptist faith at an early age. He was a member of Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church. He attended Moulton Negro High School. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No 69.
Allen retired from Joe Wheeler Co-Op after 26 years of service. In his latter years, he could be found working in his wood shop, Webb’s Carpentry and Furniture Refinishing. There he crafted, built and refinished some of the most superb pieces of furniture adored by many.
Allen, as many would call him “Mr. Webb”, was a strong, respected force in the Moulton community. He was quiet, a man of few words yet when he talked, he would share common knowledge and insight that would sometimes leave you astonished with his wisdom.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Florence Edward “Smokey” Webb and one sister, Ruby B. Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Jacqueline “Pam” Webb. A faithful daughter, Paula Webb (Memphis, TN). Four stepchildren, Onya Vinson and Alice Florence Young (Moulton, AL), Earnest Vinson (Birmingham, AL) and Michael Boyd (Moulton, AL). Three brothers, George Ross and Tony (both of Decatur, AL), James McDaniel (wife Bertha Nell of Moulton, AL); four sisters, Audrey Hamilton (Moulton, AL), Alice Faye Lee (husband David Clayton of Moulton, AL), Burnestine McDaniel (Louisville, KY). Six grandchildren and a host nieces and nephews. Lastly, a devoted and appreciated friend, Curtis Hubbard.
