Allen Boyd Casteel of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on May 19, 1955 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, son of the late Robert and Juanita Casteel.
He passed away surrounded by his family on July 27, 2019 at the age of 64. Allen was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Rebecca Cunningham, and his nephew, Robby Casteel.
Allen enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was part owner and manager of the El Cocina restaurant in White Hall. He served 25 plus years as a volunteer firefighter and first responder. He started his service in White Hall and ended in Prague, AR where he retired as chief of Center Grove Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Casteel of Sheridan; his son, Allen Casteel and daughters, Stephanie Casteel, Chandler Williams, and Whitney (Alex) Boyd, all of Sheridan, his brothers Robert (Frances) Casteel of Bartlett, TN and Donald (Marylynn) Casteel of Centerton, AR and a host of nieces and nephews. His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Keaton Casteel, Miranda Casteel (Donovan), Micayla (Derek) Nollen, Kynzlee Williams, Maddoxx Romine and his great grandchildren: Illionna, Aliyah, and Luca Meza.
