Allan was born in Easton, PA on October 30, 1942. He passed away peacefully at his home, on Monday, February 20, 2017. Allan grew up in Aududon, NJ. After high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. From 1965 to 1972, Allan worked for the Sherwin Williams Paint Company as a shop foreman. He lived on Long Beach Island, NJ from 1972 to 1982 where he worked as an electrician and a Long Beach Township police officer. In 1983 he moved to St. Joe, Arkansas where he worked as a Marion County Deputy Sheriff. In 1987 he moved to Taft where he worked as a police sergeant for the Taft Police Department. He went on to work as a police sergeant for the Shafter Police Department, and finally as the Chief of Corrections for the Delano Corrections Facility where he retired in 2005. Allan was a Past Master of the Sextant Lodge #286 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Beach Haven, NJ. He enjoyed camping and traveling, especially with his motorhome and Jeep. Allan also loved to read, was a Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed quiet areas and loved his pets.
