Allan Newnan Carson of Moscow left this earthy place on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Gritman Medical Center. He was 90. Allan was born on February 26, 1926 in Colfax, WA to Newnan T. and Nita Marie Guthrie Carson. He grew up and attended a Country grade school, Moscow Jr. and Senior High Schools, graduating in 1944. He joined the Army and served a 15 month tour of duty in Europe. Following his discharge, he returned to Moscow, enrolled and graduated from the University of Idaho. Allan began his working career as a CPA for a Potlatch Car Dealership. This transitioned into an accounting and programing position at Bunker Hill Co. in Kellogg, ID until 1975. From there he returned to Moscow and took a computer programming position at Washington State University, retiring in 1991.
