Allan Clair (Mac) McMinn ,81, passed into a new life on May 5, 2010 at (11:30 p.m.). Mr. McMinn was born on January 27, 1929 in Hilton Beach, Ontario to Allan and Mildred Duncan McMinn. At the age of sixteen he was playing junior hockey for the Stratford, Ontario Kroehler’s.

Later on he played for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (comparable to the Komet’s League.) He married Gloria Parker. She preceded him in death in 1966. Together they had two daughters: Mary Lou Hoffman and her husband Rick Farrant and Nancy and her husband Ben Sheets. Two granddaughters: Mackenzie and Allison. Mr. McMinn was a journeyman bricklayer in the Fort Wayne Local for over fifty years.

He also owned Little River Masonry and Chimney and co-owner of Solid/Flue Chimney Savers. Allan (Mac) McMinn’s second marriage was to Claire Kirchner Parker in 1968. She survives. Together they had one son, Christopher and his wife Jennifer.

One grandson Miles Christopher Allan and two granddaughters: Jesse and Mia . Additional survivors include four step-sons, Richard Mark and his wife Marge Parker; Gregory Matthew and his wife Judy Parker; a grandson Kevin and his wife Rachel; great-granddaughters, Mickensey and Delaney; Jonathan Todd Parker and Cameron Luke Parker. One brother, Ted and his late wife, Barbara; a nephew, David and his wife Iris, a niece Judy McMinn all of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Canada; brother-in-law, Merlin Kirchner and mother-in-law, Cecile Kirchner.
