Alice E. Simpkins, 82, of O’Fallon, Ill., born May 10, 1925 in Norris City, Ill., died Friday, June 29, 2007 in O’Fallon, Ill. Alice was a member of the Women of the Moose, #392, Mascoutah, Ill. She retired in 1983 as a machine operator at Bussman Fuse for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Archie & Birdie, nee Hohimer, Canady, a daughter Sharon Mansfield and a grandson Herschel Wayne Allen Sissom. Alice is survived by her husband George Simpkins, whom she married February 20, 1948 in St. Louis, MO., 2 daughters; Sandra Kay (John) Sissom of O’Fallon, Ill., Dana Lee Muller of Swansea, Ill., a son Larry Edward Simpkins of Caseyville, Ill., a brother Clyde Canady of St. Peters, MO., 10 grandchildren; Daniel “D.J. Sissom of St. Petersburg, Fla., Sherry Lynn Haupt, Sheila Renee Sherman, Kimberly Ann Mansfield of O’Fallon, Ill., Karen Sue Stewart of Olathe, KS, Amy Pekla of O’Fallon, Ill., Johnny Cornelison, Brian Muller, Robert Muller Jr., 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
