Alice Ruth Hinson, 85, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Alice was born April 19, 1937 in North Carolina to the late Fred Albert Moore and the late Thelma Christine Howell.
She was also preceded in death by husband Glenn Malcom Hinson.
Alice was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and was very faith based. She was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Oakboro and a part of the Golden Girls church group. Alice enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles in her spare time. She especially enjoyed outings with her sister Renee. Family was very important to Alice, and she loved everyone one of them with all her heart and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include daughters, Glenda (Jonathan) Rinehardt, and Vicki (Dray) Dennis; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Forrest, Charles Dustin Whitley, Alison (Josh) Mauldin, Samantha (Jason) Helms, and Laura (Bobby) Morris; great-grandchildren, Dillon Handy, Cameron Dennis, Haley Whitley, Cole Whitley, Wesley Hasty, Levi Helms, Kenzie Morris, Lillian Helms and Jessica (Ryan) McIntyre, two great-great grandchildren, Rylynn and Nolan; and a sister, Renee (Roger) Clark.
