Alice P Gallagher, 88, of Viera, FL passed away peacefully in her home on July 27, 2017. Alice was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 6, 1928 where she spent most of her younger years, and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Meehan of Brooklyn, NY.
During her middle years in Maryland, Alice was a dedicated Nanny to multiple neighborhood children, providing them a wonderful and caring experience as they matured. She looked after them as if they were her own.
Alice and her husband moved to Viera, FL in 1994 to officially retire.
Alice was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all that knew her, especially her family who will carry her memory in their hearts and prayers forever.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, John Sr., who she was married to for 62 years, and her son John Gallagher, Jr. She leaves behind a daughter, Kathleen Nadeau, of Old Saybrook, CT; a granddaughter, Jennifer McKenna and her husband Jerry, of Plympton, MA; a grandson William Nadeau Jr. and his wife Janelle, of Franklin, MA; and her great-granddaughter Josephine Caitlin Nadeau and great-grandson Rhys John Nadeau. Alice also leaves behind a daughter, JoAnn Landry, and her extended family of Plaquemine, LA.
