Mrs. Messerly died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Stanton Health Center in Stanton, NE.
Alice was born on May 23, 1929, in Stanton, the daughter of Anton and Amy (Kirkland) Fillmer. She graduated for Stanton High School.
On September 6, 1947, Alice married Lloyd Messerly in Stanton. The couple made their home in Norfolk. Five children were born to this union.
She operated a day care while raising her family. After which, Alice was employed at Burger King and Wendys.
Alice enjoyed crafting and sewing. She collected salt & pepper shakers. Her passion was for her family.
She is survived by two of her children and their spouses: Deb and Fred Koehler, of Norfolk, and Steve and Lisa, of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Donna Messerly, of Norfolk, and Lois Fillmer, of Ogallala, NE.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, twin infant sons, Larry and Terry, her husband, son, Ron Messerly and one brother Leonard Fillmer.
