Alice Mae Lind, 87, passed away Sunday, May 30 th , 2021 in Yuma, AZ.

She was born September 2 nd , 1933 in Germantown, PA to Herman George Roll and

Irma Celia (Kisch) Roll.

Alice grew up in New Jersey, graduating from East Orange High School. Following

high school, she enlisted in the military, and was a proud veteran of the US

Women in the Air Force (WAF).

Alice was married to Wayne E. Lind for 57 years. After several military

relocations, they settled in Colorado and raised three children. When the children

were all in school, Alice began her long-time employment with Aurora Public

Schools in various administrative positions. After her retirement from the

schools, Alice and Wayne enjoyed many years travelling across the US in their RV,

finally settling full-time in Yuma, AZ.

She was an accomplished seamstress and an exceptional quilter. Her many

creative quilts were designed as gifts for family members, and are cherished

family heirlooms.

Alice is survived by her three children: daughter Karen Lind of Blue Springs, MO,

son Don Lind and his wife Sandy Rabun-Lind of Melbourne, FL and daughter Ruth

Wisely and her husband Don Wisely of Castle Rock, CO; her ten grandchildren:

Michelle, Scott, Kelly, Trevor, Teri, Travis, Tyler, Kevin, Desiree and Danessa; and

fourteen great grandchildren; and by her closest friends in Yuma: Bernie, Dee

Dee, Steve and Piedad. She was preceded in death by her parents and her

husband.
