Alice M. Jarvais, 92 of Toms River, NJ died on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Brandywine Senior Living in Toms River, NJ. Alice was born in Elizabeth, NJ and retired to her dream cottage in Arlington, VT with her husband where she worked as a docent at “Hildene” the Robert Todd Lincoln estate before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1988.
She was President and Vice President of the Silver Ridge Park North Women’s Club, the Lighthouse out of Community Medical Center and a Tour Guide in Elizabeth, NJ. Alice was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Twp., NJ. Alice is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Catherine Murphy; her husband William Jarvais and her siblings Joseph Murphy and his wife Christine, Doris Hotz and her husband James and also her nephew James Hotz. Surviving are her nieces Elizabeth Hotz and Cathy Sidwell, and her nephew, Frank Murphy.
