Alice M. (Kinnander) Burns, 87, of Cassopolis, died Monday, December 3, 2012, in Elkhart General Hospital. She was born November 16, 1925 in Bristol, Indiana to Gustaf and Sadie (Bailey) Kinnander. She married Robert Joseph Burns on April 30, 1950 in Bristol, Indiana.
He preceded her in death on February 9, 2007.Alice graduated from Bristol High School in 1944. She worked at Miles Laboratory until she married. She became a farmer’s wife and homemaker, caring for her family. She was involved in her church, teaching Sunday School and attending Mission Circle meetings. She found joy in being with her family. Alice will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Paul and Heather Burns of Cassopolis; three grandchildren, Erin (Matthew) Ransom of Goshen, Eric (Alicia) Burns of Cassopolis and Evan Burns of Mt. Pleasant; five great grandchildren, Owen Ransom, Emma Ransom, Landon Burns, Logan Burns, and Lauren Burns.
