Alice L. Pate, age 73, passed away on Thursday, February 04, 2016. Born in Ballinger, Texas, on March 17, 1942, she was the daughter of Glenn Mitchell and Eunice Damron Mitchell. Over the years she held many positions of responsibility in 23 years with the Texas Employment Commission, 5 years with the Texas Department of Correction, and many times over the years was a Teacher’s Aide and drove a school bus. She attended the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by daughter, Merrie Beth Pate, and sister, Lindabeth Oldham Vaughan. Alice is survived by her husband of 55 years, Travis Richard “Rowdy” Pate; daughter, Robin Pate; son, Dale Margoli-Steele and his wife Rebecca; Sister, Becky Weed; Brothers, Mike Mitchell, Harris Mitchell, and Mark Mitchell; grandchildren, Aidan Steele, Jacob Ware McNeese, and Jess Mitchell Copeland.
